윤석열 대통령이 21일 리시 수낙 영국 총리와 함께 서울서 개최되는 AI(인공지능) 서울 정상회의 정상세션을 주재한다고 대통령실이 20일 전했다.
AI 서울 정상회의는 지난해 11월 영국에 이어 두 번째 열리는 가운데 올해는 안전성·혁신·포용성 등 AI 핵심 가치를 기반으로 한 거버넌스를 논의한다.

왕 차장에 따르면 이번 AI 서울 정상회의는 21~22일 이틀간 열리는 가운데 첫날인 21알 양국 과학기술 장관이 주재하는 장관 세션이 진행되고, AI 분야 전문가들이 참여하는 'AI글로벌 포럼'도 열린다.
21일 윤 대통령·수낙 총리 주재 정상세션엔 지난해 1차 회의 때와 같이 G7(주요 7개국)·싱가포르·호주 정상이 초청된 가운데 UN·EU·OECD 등 국제기구 수장·삼성·네이버·구글·아마존·메타·마이크로소프트 등 글로벌 AI기업들도 참석한다.

왕 차장은 AI 서울 정상회의 의제 관련해 "작년 영국 주최 정상회의가 AI 안전성에 초점 맞췄다면 이번 회의는 안전성 외 포용·혁신까지 의제를 확대했다"며 "AI 위험성 측면 외 긍정적 측면 즉 인류사회에 기여해나갈 수 있는 혜택 측면까지 균형있게 포괄 논의가 이뤄질 걸로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
또 "국제사회가 AI 규범 정립 필요성·혁신·포용성을 강조한 윤 대통령 제안을 받아들여 이번 정상회의 의제로 포함시키게 된 것"이라고 전했다.
박 수석은 AI 거버넌스 3대 원칙에 대해 "이번 회의를 통해 AI 안전에 대한 글로벌 협력을 공고히 하고 기업들이 노력에 동참토록 촉구할 방침"이라며 "또 AI 기술혁신을 통해 인류 미래 성장동력을 찾는 동시에 계층·국가간 AI·디지털 격차 해소를 위한 노력을 강조 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
또 "이런 논의 결과는 정상 합의문으로 발표될 예정"이라며 "안전하고 혁신적이고 포용적 AI를 위한 합의문으로 현재 참여국들간 문안을 협의 중"이라고 전했다.
