브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 국민의힘이 11일 "야당이 국회의장·법사위원장·운영위원장을 모두 가져간 사례는 헌정 사상 처음 있는 일"이라며 더불어민주당을 비판했다.
김민전 국민의힘 수석대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "민주당이 끝내 협치를 외면하며 대한민국 의회민주주의 역사에 끝없는 오점을 남기고 있다"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "22대 국회 개원을 단독으로 강행한 것도 모자라, 11명의 상임위원장을 모두 민주당 소속으로 단독 선출했다"라며 "운영위원장과 과방위원장(과학기술정보방송통신위원회 위원장)에는 하나같이 강성 '친명'(친 이재명 민주당 대표) 의원들을 내세웠고, 국회 내 견제와 균형을 위해 2당이 맡아 온 관례를 무시하고 법사위(법제사법위원회)마저 일방 독점했다"라고 지적했다.
그러면서 "이마저도 성에 차지 않았는지, 나머지 7개 위원장 후보를 내지 않으면 그 자리도 차지할 것이라고 국민의힘을 협박하고 있다"라고 덧붙였다.
김 수석대변인은 "(민주당이) 줄곧 강변하고 있는 '총선 민심'과 국회법상 규정이 결코 의회 독재의 명분이 될 수 없다"라며 "민주당은 헌법과 전통으로 이어져 온 의회민주주의를 무너뜨렸다"라고 밝혔다.
그는 "민주당이 민심에 역행하면서까지 이렇게 비정상적이고 해괴한 일을 자행하는 이유는 단 하나"라며 "오직 이재명 대표의 '방탄'이라는 목표를 위해 각종 특검법 처리와 대통령실 운영 등을 자신들의 입맛대로 주무르고 방송을 장악해 악용하겠다는 것"이라고 주장했다.
앞서 민주당은 지난 10일 과반 의석을 앞세워 법사·운영·과방위원장 자리를 포함한 11개 국회 상임위원장 자리를 가져갔다. 지난 5일 선출된 우원식 국회의장 역시 민주당 출신이다.
