브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 안철수 국민의힘 의원이 13일 이재명 더불어민주당 대표를 향해 "정계 은퇴해야 되는 때"라고 밝혔다.
안 의원은 이날 오전 KBS 라디오 '전격시사'에 출연해, 이 대표가 '쌍방울 불법 대북 송금' 의혹과 관련해 제3자 뇌물수수 등의 혐의로 최근 기소된 일을 두고 "일반 국민처럼 어떤 특권도 없는 위치에서 재판을 받아야" 한다며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "(최근 쌍방울 불법 대북 송금 의혹 재판에서) 9년 6개월 (실형을) 선고받은 이화영 전 경기부지사가 이 대표 측근 아니겠나"라며 "어떻게 부지사가 도지사(이 대표) 모르게 어마어마한 돈을 그렇게 북한에게 넘기겠나"라고 지적했다. 그러면서 "이 대표가 본인 방북을 위해 이런 일이 벌어졌다면 이런 일을 자기가 알든 몰랐든 정치적 책임을 지고 정계 은퇴하는 게 정상적인 정치인의 도리"라고 주장했다.
안 의원은 이 대표를 블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령에 비유하기도 했다. 그는 "푸틴이 지금 3선 됐지 않나. 사실 그렇게 되지 말았어야 되는데 자기 마음대로 헌법 고치고 그랬다"라며 "그것과 마찬가지로 최근에 이 대표가 당헌·당규도 자기가 (다음 대선) 나올 수 있도록 마음대로 또 바꿨지 않나? 모든 것들을 자기 편의에 의해 그렇게 바꾸는 푸틴과 같은 짓을 한다 그런 얘기"라고 설명했다.
또 "민주주의는 다수결 주의가 아니다. 아무리 소수 당의 의견이라도 그들과 대화하고 서로 설득하고 타협하고 합의해서 그분들의 의견들을 최대한 반영하면서 합의를 이끌어내는 것이, 결정을 하는 것이 그게 민주주의"라며 "그런데 그게 아니라 무조건 다수 당의 의견을 그냥 밀어붙이고, 소수 의견을 완전히 무시하고 말살하는 거 이것은 민주주의가 아니고 전체주의다. 전체주의 국회로 지금 만들고 있는 것"이라고 비판했다.
