(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 9일 시청 공감회의실에서 2025년 환경관리 우수기업 지정식 및 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 총 9개의 관내 환경관리 우수기업을 지정하고 우수기업 활성화 유공기관과 유공자에 대한 표창이 진행됐으며 우수기업 관계자들의 의견 청취를 통해 우수기업 활성화 방안 등을 모색했다.
1부에서는 씨제이제일제당(주) 인천3공장, 삼성바이오로직스(주), (주)풍전비철, (주)위지트, (주)삼양사 인천2공장, 유진기업(주) 송도, 한국기초소재(주), 동아알루미늄(주), 한국산업(주) 등 우수기업 지정기업에 지정서를 전달하고, ㈜위지트, 김종희 ㈜삼양사 인천 2공장 공장장에게는 우수기업 활성화에 대한 공로를 인정해 인천광역시장 표창을 수여했다.
2부에서는 ㈜위지트에서 기업활동 및 환경관리 우수사례를 공유하고, 우수기업 활성화 방안 등에 대한 다양한 의견을 나눴다.
‘환경관리 우수기업 지정’은 환경 관련 인허가를 받은 시 소재 사업장을 대상으로 자율적인 환경관리 체계를 정착하고자 2007년부터 시행한 제도다.
대기환경보전법 등 환경 법령 준수와 자율적 환경관리 실적이 우수한 관내 기업들을 발굴해 자율 환경관리를 유도하고 환경관리 모범업체로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 골자로, 우수기업 지정업체에는 환경개선 지원사업 우선 선발 자격, 정기 지도·점검 면제, 우수기업 홍보 및 시장 표창 등 혜택이 주어진다.
올해 공모를 통해 선정된 기업체는 재지정으로 선정된 8개 사와 신규 지정 1개 사 등 총 9개 사로 대기·폐수 등 분야별 환경관리 상태와 환경시설개선 투자계획, 사업장 조경·녹화 조성 및 지역사회 환경보전 활동 등을 심사해 우수기업으로 지정했다. 현재까지 인천광역시 환경관리 우수기업으로 지정된 업체는 총 16개 사다.
박성연 인천시 대기보전과장은 “대내외적으로 어려운 경제 여건에서도 자율적 환경관리에 힘쓴 우수기업들에 감사하다”며 “앞으로도 환경관리 우수기업이라는 자부심을 가지고 ‘글로벌 톱텐 시티 인천(Global Top 10 City Incheon)’ 만들기에 적극 동참해 달라”라고 당부했다. 또한 “인천시도 지정 우수기업에 더 많은 지원을 하도록 노력할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
