김포시, 2024년 주민자치 활동공유회 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포시가 2024년 주민자치 활동공유회를 지난 6일 개최했다.

시는 주민자치 우수사례 성과 공유 및 주민자치회의 소통과 화합을 위한 자리를 마련했다.

이번 주민자치 활동공유회는 14개 읍면동 주민자치회 위원, 각 읍·면·동장 및 관계 공무원 등 210여 명이 참석한 가운데 주민자치 활성화 유공 표창, 주민자치회 우수사례 발표 및 시상 등으로 진행됐다.

앞서 진행된 주민자치 활성화 유공 표창은 김포시 주민자치 활성화를 위해 헌신한 주민자치 위원들의 유공을 격려하기 위하여 63명의 주민자치 위원들에게 수여됐다.

주민자치 우수사례 경연대회는 읍면동별 주민자치 우수사례에 대해 주민자치 위원들이 직접 발표를 진행했으며, 사전에 진행된 서면심사와 현장 발표심사를 합산하여 대상, 최우수상, 우수상 각 1개팀을 선정했다. 주민자치 분야 전문가로 이뤄진 심사위원회의 심사 결과 ▲대상은 장기본동 ▲최우수상은 고촌읍 ▲우수상은 풍무동주민자치회가 수상했다. 대상을 차지한 장기본동 주민자치회는 2025년 경기도 주민자치 우수사례 경연대회에 참가하게 된다.

김병수 시장은 “지역의 특성을 가장 잘 아는 주민자치회는 시가 미처 미치지 못하는 부분에서 중요한 역할이 하고 있으므로 앞으로의 자치활동도 기대가 된다.”고 말하며, “시에서도 김포시 주민자치가 올바르게 자리 잡고 발전할 수 있도록 적극적으로 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 김포시는 2024년 3기 주민자치회를 운영 중이며, 올해부터 주민자치 활성화 공모사업 추진으로 지역의 특성을 반영하고 지역문제를 해결할 수 있는 효율적인 사업들을 발굴·실행하고 있다고 전했다.
