당연하게 생각했던 윤석열 탄핵 분위기가 심상치 않다. 윤석열 탄핵을 마땅하다고 여겨온 입장에서 탄핵 반대 지지가 확장되고 있는 현상은 황당하다. 계엄령 이후를 복기해 보면 이 또한 이재명과 민주당이 자초한 것이다. 계엄 전 이재명과 윤석열의 적대적 공생은 계엄 후까지 질리도록 계속되고 있다.
국민의힘과 민주당의 정당 지지도는 오차 범위 내에서 어느새 역전됐다. 광주에서조차 탄핵 반대 집회에 만만치 않은 인파가 몰렸다. 보도에 따르면 탄핵반대 집회가 찬성집회보다 2-3배에 달하는 압도적 규모였다고 한다. 사실이라면 충격이다.
당연하게 여겨졌던 탄핵 국면을 이처럼 흔들어 놓은 주역은 양박두병이다. 박범계, 박선원, 김병주, 김병기 의원은 계엄 핵심 당사자를 수사 전에 접촉하고, 개인 채널을 통해 공개하여 핵심 관계자들의 증언을 오염시켰다는 의혹과 공격을 자초했다.
내란의 결정적 증언을 야당의원 개인 채널이나 사적 면담을 통해 공개한 행위는 상식적으로 납득하기 어렵다. 스스로 증언의 신뢰를 심각하게 훼손시킨 것이다. 내란 증언이라는 중대한 국가적 사안을 공명심에 사유화한 것이다.
현역 장성과 국정원 2인자가 야당 의원들과 사적 연고를 통해 접촉하고, 최초의 진술을 야당 의원들의 개인 창구를 통해 발설한 것도 부적절하고 비난받아 마땅하다. 이러한 내막 또한 수사해야 할 사안이다.
김병주 의원과 곽종근 사령관은 과거 직속 상하 관계였다는 것을 스스로 실토했다. 홍장원 국정원 전 1차장은 국정원 기조실장 출신인 박선원 의원과 사전 문자를 주고받았음이 확인됐다.
