진리체이며, 한 몸인 법신 보신 화신이 있다. 진리의 제일원인은 공적영지 진리의 제이원인은 청정광명(불성광명)이다. 공적영지(육조혜능, 하택신회, 규봉종밀, 보조지눌 등이 평생 동안 불타종지로 여겨, 심장 속에 지니고 다님)는 대승불교의 창시자이며 팔부종사인 용수보살은 반야공이라 하였다.
우주가 탄생하기 이전 거룩한 텅빔(空)만 있었다. 그리고, 한 점이 나타나 이 우주를 핵폭발과 같은 속도로 5일 동안 조성되어서 이제까지 변화해 왔다고 한다. 이것은 빅뱅이론이다.
이 한점이 바로 청정광명이다. 청정광명은 물질창조의 제2원인이다. 근본당처인 공은 청정광명으로 들어나고, 이 둘은 법신(내적 본성)과 화신(아봐타, 현상적 존재, 붓다나 예수)의 관계이다.
여기에다, 보신(수행의 과보로 만들어진 몸, 내적 성결한 영성체, 의성신이라고도 함, 이 수행방법은 호흡수행과 관찰수행으로 빛을 축적하여, 응결시키고 응축된 빛으로 붓다를 마음으로 조각해 완성시킴, 황정혈에서 시작하여 중맥을 타고 올라와, 정수리로 출태함. 법신불이라 칭하기도 함, 더 구체적인 것은 생략). 보신이 완성된 수행자는 고타마 붓다처럼 32상 80종호로 탄생한다.
불성광명은 두가지 요소로 되어 있다. 지혜와 자비이다. 지혜는 반야지혜, 영성지혜, 초월지혜, 우주지혜라고 부른다. 자비는 무연자비(무조건 자비)이고, 아가페 사랑이다. 눈뜬 사람은 지옥에서도 이것을 본다. 고문과 폭행을 당해 이것을 품고 죽을 때까지 함께 간다. 불성광명은 인간처럼 생명이 있고 수행자를 안내해 준다. 처음에는 이념으로 전해 듣고 알지만, 목숨바친 반복연습으로 생명이 불어 넣어지고 살아 움직인다.
법신이 있으면, 반드시 보신이 있고, 보신이 있으면 반드시 화신이 있다. 이 셋은 하나이면서 동시적으로 셋이다. 하나가 작용할 때면, 나머지는 옆에서 도와준다. 이것은 원효 스님의 가르침이다.
불교학대사전에는 이렇게 비유한다. 법신은 달, 보신은 달빛, 화신은 달 그림자(호수 속에 비친 달) "세속은 탐진치, 10가지 악행은 자비와 지혜 반대인데, 그리하면 이것은 왜 나타나는가?" "왜 인간계는 부조리와 모순이 만연하는가?"하고, 질문할 수 있다. "세상은 악마가 지배하고 있지 않는가?" 반문할 수 있다. 복잡한 답이 있으나 여기서는 생략하고, 수행자는 수행하기 위해서 이것이 필요하다고 긍정과 낙천으로 임해야 한다. www888@naver.com

If there is a Dharmakaya, there must be a Reward Kami, and if there is a Reward Kami, there must be an Incarnation Kami. These three are one and three at the same time. When one is in action, the others help from the side. This is the teaching of Monk Wonhyo.
