김동연 지사 측이 '기울어지다 못해 뒤집어진 운동장, 민주 없는 민주당 경선'이라고 규정했던 '이재명 추대식'이 끝나자마자, 이낙연 대표에 견제와 비판을 쏟아내고 있다. 이재명 총통제 수립에 이낙연 대표 출마가 가장 위협적이라는 것을 보여준다. 상식을 가진 국민들은 그들 자신들이 받아야 할 비판이라는 것을 이미 알고 있다. 아첨과 아부, 절대 권력의 문화만 남아있는 민주당에서 나오는 비난이기 때문이다.
자신들이 그대로 되돌려 받아야 할 공격을 보고 있으면 측은한 마음이 들지만, 한편으론 고맙다. 특히 이낙연 전 총리와 한덕수 대통령 권한대행의 연대로 인해 '다 된 밥에 코 빠뜨릴까' 전전긍긍하는 모습이다. 품격과 소양과 경륜과 경험을 갖춘 두 총리의 연대는 상식과 정상이 파괴된 현실을 치유, 회복시킬 만한 잠재력이 있다는 것을 그들은 이미 알고 있다. 이낙연 전 총리와 새미래민주당은 상식을 바로 세울 수 있는 누구와도 연대 가능성을 열어둘 것이다. 지난 17일 최소한의 기본 요건을 이미 천명한 바 있다.
■ 이재명 후보가 후보 추대식 수락 연설에서 지난 대선 패배는 자신의 책임이라고 처음으로 인정했다. 하지만 이미 때를 놓친 뒤였고, 아무도 그 발언에 관심을 두지 않았다. '내 탓이다'라고 해봤자 3년이 지나버린 지금 와서는 의미가 없다. 그보다 더 큰 문제는, 대선 패배 책임을 떠넘겼던 이낙연 총리에게 단 한마디 사과조차 하지 않았다는 점이다.
3년이나 지난 시점에 사과 한마디 없이 굳이 대선 패배를 입에 올린 이유는 뻔하다. 지난 대선에서는 자신의 흠 때문에 졌다는 걸 인정하고, 이번에는 다르게 준비했다는 신호를 주고 싶었던 거다.
하지만 이낙연에게 책임을 돌려온 '개딸'들의 행태, 호남 유권자를 중심으로 한 가스라이팅, 기만에 대한 사과나 반성이 전혀 없는 상황에서 '내 탓'을 운운하는 것은 전혀 의미가 없다.
사실 호남 민심도 가스라이팅에서 서서히 깨어나고 있다. 호남에서는 이이제이(以李制李, 이낙연이 이재명을 제압한다)나 이민제민(以民制民, 새미래민주당이 더불어민주당을 이긴다)이라는 말까지 등장하고 있다고 한다.
최근 이낙연 출마와 한덕수 대행과의 연대 가능성이 거론되자, 친명, 비명을 가리지 않고 이재명에 대한 아부 경쟁이 벌어지고 있다. 이런 움직임을 보면 자발적인 대응이라기보다, 수령님의 지시를 받은 기획 공작 같다는 냄새가 짙다. 다양성을 말살하고, 반민주적 리더십이 들어선 민주당 안에서 줄서기 경쟁을 하는 것은 결국 자기 양심과 상식에 반하는 것이다.
그런 사람들은 더 이상 호남을 입에 담을 자격도 없다. 알량한 감투 떡고물에 눈이 멀어 국민과 양심, 그리고 자신의 일생과 인격까지 배신하는 모습을 국민은 다 지켜보고 있다.
