(장흥=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남 장흥군이 설립한 재단법인 장흥축제관광재단(이하 재단)이 사무실 이전을 계기로 본격적인 축제·관광 사업에 착수했다.
재단은 2024년 말 설립 등기를 완료한 후, 2025년 이사회를 통해 사업 계획 및 예산을 승인받고, 이달 초 사무실 이전을 마무리하며 업무 기반을 갖췄다.
이를 바탕으로 재단은 올해 지역 대표축제인 ‘정남진 장흥 물축제’의 산업화와 지역경제 활성화 프로그램을 비롯해, 군 문화·관광자원의 개발 및 홍보, 체류형 관광 콘텐츠 발굴 등 실질적인 사업을 본격적으로 추진할 예정이다.
재단은 장흥군의 축제와 관광을 전문적으로 기획·운영하기 위한 목적으로 출범했으며, 장기적으로는 관광객 500만 시대에 대응할 전략적 콘텐츠 개발과 브랜드 마케팅에도 박차를 가할 계획이다.
