(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도교육청은 지난 17일 청사 대회의실에서 ‘세계가 주목하는 K-교육, 전남교육에서 출발합니다’를 주제로 6월 정책협의회를 개최했다.
이번 협의회에는 교육감과 본청 국·과장, 직속기관장, 교육장, 교육협력관 등 60여 명이 참석해, 글로컬 전남교육 실현을 위한 기관 간 협업 방안과 현장 실행력 제고에 대해 집중적으로 논의했다.
전남교육청이 중점 추진 중인 ▲ 늘봄교육 ▲ 2030교실 ▲ 전남학생교육수당 ▲ 교육발전특구 ▲ 글로컬교육 등은 지역 단위의 자율적 대응이 핵심으로, 교육정책의 성패는 교육공동체의 주도적 참여와 촘촘한 현장 실행에 달려 있다.
이에 따라 이번 정책협의회는 ‘본청-직속기관·교육지원청-학교 간 소통 강화 방안’을 중심으로, 각 기관의 역할에 대해 실질적으로 점검하고 주요 교육정책 실천력을 높이기 위한 방안을 모색하는 시간을 가졌다.
김옥란 전남도교육청교육정보연구원장은 “12개 직속기관은 학생·교직원·지역민을 대상으로 글로컬 전남교육 정책을 공감과 체험 중심으로 실현하고 있다”며, 독서인문교육, 학생 주도 수업, 이중언어교육 등 현장 중심 프로그램과 연계를 위한 기관별 협력 방안을 제시했다.
권순용 보성교육장은 “학교 현장을 안정적으로 지원하기 위해서는 교육정책이 지역 실정에 맞게 자율적으로 운영돼야 하며, 이를 위해 교육지원청과 본청의역할 구분과 협업 체계 강화가 필요하다”고 밝혔다.
이에 교육장들은 “교육정책은 현장에서 실현될 때 진짜 교육이 된다”는 데 공감하며, 교육지원청이 교육정책과 현장을 연결하는 가교로서 적극적 역할을 수행해야 한다는 데 뜻을 모았다.
김대중 전남교육감은 “이번 협의회는 글로컬 전남교육이 학교 교육과정에 안착하기 위한 실천적 논의의 장이었다.”며, “전남교육청은 앞으로도 교육정책과 현장을 잇는 협력체계를 강화해 K-교육을 선도하는 실천 모델을 구체화해 나가겠다.”고밝혔다.
이날 행사 전반부에는 ‘아버지의 해방일지’ 저자 정지아 작가의 특강이 열렸다. ‘독서인문교육 활성화 방안’을 주제로 진행된 강연에서 정 작가는 전남에서 살아온 경험을 바탕으로, 아이들을 자기 삶의 주인으로 성장시키는 인문교육의 중요성을 강조했다.
