【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군외국인지원센터(센터장 박한교)는 지난 13일 외국인 주민 250여 명을 대상으로 무료진료서비스 지원 사업을 추진했다.
이번 무료진료서비스에는 삼일교회, 한국한센복지협회, 라파엘클리닉, 경희의료원, 한국국제보건의료재단, 음성군보건소 등이 참여했다. 이날 진행한 진료과목으로는 내과, 피부과, 외과, 산부인과, 안과, 치과, 소아과, 결핵검사 등이다.
또 음성군외국인지원센터에서 외국인 주민 진료를 위한 장소를 제공하고, 통역과 홍보를 지원했다. 그리고 30여 명의 자원봉사자들의 도움 덕분에 주민들의 진료서비스가 원활히 추진될 수 있었다.
조병옥 군수는 “바쁜 일정에도 음성군 외국인 주민의 건강 증진에 도움을 주신 의료진과 봉사자들에게 감사하다”며 “군은 외국인 주민이 건강하고 안정적인 정착을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
박한교 음성군외국인지원센터장은 “이번 무료진료서비스가 의료에 취약한 외국인 주민들에게 많은 도움이 됐다”며 “도움을 주신 의료진들과 자원봉사자들에게 감사하다. 앞으로도 외국인 주민을 위한 서비스를 이어갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
