(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도가 도민의 인권 의식 향상과 생활 속 인권 존중문화 확산을 위해 새로운 인권강사들을 위촉하며 지역 인권 교육 역량을 강화하고 나섰다.
전남도는 3일, 전문적인 양성 프로그램을 이수한 신규 인권강사 15명을 위촉(사진)했다고 밝혔다.
이는 인권교육 수요 증가에 적극적으로 대응하고 인권 친화적인 전남을 만들기 위한 노력의 일환이다.
전남도는 올해 교육 과정의 전문성 강화를 위해 전남사회서비스원에 위탁했으며, 총 54시간에 달하는 강도 높은 교육을 진행했다. 이 교육은 ▲이론 교육 36시간과 ▲강의기법 교육 18시간으로 구성되어, 강사들이 인권에 대한 깊이 있는 전문 지식과 현장 교육 실무 역량을 동시에 갖추도록 하는 데 중점을 뒀다.
위촉식에서는 권영철 인권강사가 ‘인권의 가치를 수호하는 사람들’을 주제로 강연을 펼치며, 인권 교육의 중요성과 일상 속 실천 의지를 참석자들에게 강조했다.
이번에 위촉된 인권강사들은 앞으로 공공기관, 학교, 민간단체 등 지역 곳곳을 순회하며 맞춤형 인권 교육을 제공할 예정이다. 특히, 일상생활에서 발생할 수 있는 차별을 예방하고, 누구나 존중받는 문화를 정착시키기 위한 생활 밀착형 인권 실천 활동을 활발히 전개할 계획이다.
심재명 전남도 자치행정과장은 “인권은 법과 제도만으로는 완전히 실현될 수 없으며 교육과 실천이 함께해야 한다”며, “신규 인권강사들이 도민 곁에서 인권의 가치를 일깨우고, 누구나 존중받는 전남을 만드는 데 핵심적인 역할을 수행해 줄 것을 기대한다”고 말했다.
