(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=광주광역시가 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업의 핵심 목표인 지역 정주형 인재 양성과 초광역 교육 협력을 강화하기 위해 총 사업 규모 48억 원의 사업 수행대학을 추가 공모한다
이번 추가 공모는 교육부로부터 교부받은 지방비 분담(매칭) 특전과 시비 추가 분담분을 합한 총 48억 원 규모로 진행된다. 대학 모집 기간은 11일부터 30일까지다.
추가 공모 대상은 ▲광주형 로컬커스터마이징 청년혁신인재양성 ▲연구개발(R&D) 기반 혁신 실증스튜디오 운영 등 기존 2개 과제와 ▲인공지능(AI)·로봇 인증체계 개발 및 전문가 양성 등 초광역 신규과제 1개다.
특히, '광주형 로컬커스터마이징 청년혁신인재양성' 과제는 지역 기업 및 학생 수요를 반영한 교육과정을 통해 지역 정주형 인력을 체계적으로 육성하는 데 중점을 둔다.
신규 과제인 'AI·로봇 인증체계 개발 및 전문가 양성' 사업은 정부의 '5극 3특 초광역 전략'과 연계하여, 광주(인공지능)와 대구(로봇)가 협력하는 초광역 협력 모델이다. 이는 물리적 인공지능(Physical AI) 시대의 핵심 전문 인력 양성 기반을 구축하는 것을 목표로 한다.
이번 추가 공모 사업의 수행 대학은 2026년 1월 중 사업계획서 평가와 광주라이즈위원회의 심의·의결을 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.
사업이 확정되면 광주시는 기존 RISE 사업을 포함해 총 17개 대학이 16개 단위과제, 72개 사업을 추진하며 지역 혁신을 주도하게 된다.
