국민의힘 대전광역시당이 13일 오후 청년위원회 발대식을 개최하고, 대전의 변화를 이끌 ‘청년 정치’ 확대에 본격 나섰다.
이날 발대식에는 시당 관계자와 청년 당원 등이 참석해 내년 지방선거를 향한 조직 정비와 청년 참여 확대 방안을 논의하며 힘찬 출발을 함께했다.
이은권 대전시당 위원장은 인사말에서 청년 정치의 역할을 강조하며 강한 메시지를 쏟아냈다.
그는 “청년은 구호가 아니라 행동이고, 정치는 말이 아니라 실천”이라며 “현장의 목소리를 가장 먼저 듣고, 가장 빠르게 움직이는 정치가 바로 청년정치”라고 말했다.
이어 “대전의 변화는 이미 시작됐다”며 “소통·화합·단결이라는 원칙 아래 청년들이 중심이 되어 대전을 다시 뛰게 만들 것”이라고 밝혔다.

이 위원장은 또 청년 조직에 대한 지원 의지도 분명히 했다.
그는 “국민의힘 대전시당은 청년들이 도전하고 성장할 수 있도록 뒤에서가 아니라 옆에서 함께 뛰겠다”며 “오늘의 결심이 내일의 성과로 이어지도록 끝까지 책임지고 함께 가겠다”고 다짐했다.
이 위원장은 인사를 마무리하며 “청년 여러분, 진심으로 응원한다”고 전해 청년 당원들의 박수를 받았다.
지난 11일 여성위원회 발대식을 개최한 대전시당은 청년위원회 발족을 계기로 청년 정책 발굴, 현장 간담회, 캠페인 활동 등 다양한 프로그램을 추진하며 청년 정치 참여 저변을 넓힌다는 계획이다.
내년 지방선거를 앞두고 청년을 전면에 내세운 이번 발대식이 대전 지역 정치 지형에 어떤 변화를 가져올지 주목된다.
