브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 김민석 국무총리는 16일 중앙선거관리위원회 투표용지 부족 사태와 관련, 시위대가 서울 잠실 올림픽공원 핸드볼경기장을 봉쇄하고 있는데 대해 엄정 대응하겠다는 입장을 거듭 밝혔다.
김 총리는 이날 정부서울청사에서 열린 국무회의 및 비상경제본부회의 모두발언에서 "참정권 침해에 대한 국민들의 정당한 문제 제기는 존중하지만 이를 빌미로 타인의 권리를 침해하는 행위는 정당화될 수 없다"고 말했다.
이어 "출입 권한을 가진 사람들까지도 통행을 사적으로 통제하는 것은 어떤 경우에도 용납될 수 없는 불법 행위"라며 "정부는 이러한 행위에 대해 일벌백계 차원에서 단호하게 대응할 것"이라고 강조했다.

김 총리는 "경찰은 불법 행위자를 법과 원칙에 따라 현장에서 즉시 조치하고, 위법 의심 행위도 채증을 통해 끝까지 추적해 엄중히 책임을 물어야 한다"고 지시하는 한편, 체육계 관계자들이 안전하게 출입하고 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 필요한 보호 조치를 마련할 것을 주문했다.
김 총리는 또한 현안토의에서 경찰청장 직무대행으로부터 현장 상황을 보고받은 뒤 "철저한 채증을 진행하되, 물리적 위압 행위를 한 사람들에 대해서는 끝까지 책임을 물어야 한다"고 했다.
