이번에 최 의원이 발의한 ‘산업집적활성화 및 공장설립에 관한 법률 일부개정법률안’은, 산업단지에 입주한 제조기업들의 물류비 부담을 덜고 유휴 공장 활용도를 높이는 내용이 담겼다.

최은석 의원은 “지금 산업단지에는 빈 공장이 많은데도, 창고 공간이 부족해 기업들이 불필요한 비용을 떠안고 있는 상황”이라며 “현장 변화 속도를 제도가 따라가지 못하는 전형적인 규제 사례”라고 말했다.
이어 “산업단지는 지역 경제와 일자리 창출의 핵심 인프라인 만큼, 이번 개정안이 유휴 자산을 더 잘 활용하고 기업 경쟁력도 높이는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다”고 강조했다.
최 의원은 “앞으로도 산업 현장 목소리에 귀 기울여 불합리한 규제를 지속적으로 개선해, 기업하기 좋은 환경을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
