<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 강원 횡성 지역 작가들의 창작 열정과 예술적 시선을 엿볼 수 있는 다채로운 미술 전시회가 열린다.
(사)한국예총 횡성지회가 주최하고 (사)한국미술협회 횡성지부가 주관하는 ‘제7회 한국미술협회 횡성지부 회원전’이 오는 23일부터 26일까지 횡성복합아트센터 전시실에서 개최된다고 19일 밝혔다.
올해로 7회째를 맞이한 이번 전시는 ‘횡성미술, 일상으로 스미다’라는 주제로 진행된다. 권대영, 김명이 작가 등 한국미협 횡성지부 소속 회원 30여 명이 대거 참여해 자연과 사람, 그리고 삶의 풍경을 따뜻하게 담아낸 다양한 회화 작품들을 선보일 예정이다. 지역 문화예술의 현주소를 짚어보고 미래 발전 방향을 조망하는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것으로 기대된다.

조동선 한국미술협회 횡성지부장은 “예술은 특정 공간에 머무는 것이 아니라 우리의 삶 속에 자연스럽게 스며드는 언어”라며 “이번 전시가 바쁜 일상 속에서 잠시 걸음을 멈추고 예술이 전하는 위로와 여유를 느끼는 힐링의 시간이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.
정재영 한국예총 횡성지회장은 “횡성미협 회원들의 꾸준한 창작 활동과 뜨거운 열정이야말로 지역 문화예술을 이끄는 든든한 원동력”이라며 “이번 전시를 통해 예술의 무한한 가능성과 지역 문화예술의 밝은 미래를 더욱 넓게 바라보는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 강조했다.
한편, 이번 전시의 개막식은 23일 오전 11시 횡성복합아트센터에서 지역 문화예술 관계자 및 군민들이 참석한 가운데 진행될 예정이다.
