중부권 최대 규모를 자랑하는 수국 정원이 올여름에도 화려한 꽃망울을 터트리며 관람객들을 맞이한다.
공주시는 대표적인 여름 축제인 ‘제5회 공주 유구색동수국정원 꽃 축제’를 오는 6월 26일부터 28일까지 사흘간 유구읍 일원에서 개최한다고 밝혔다. ‘유구화(花)원, 일상의 즐거움’이라는 부제로 열리는 이번 축제는 유구읍만이 가진 지역적 특색과 수국정원의 수려한 자연미를 결합한 다채로운 프로그램으로 펼쳐진다.
첫날인 26일 오후 6시에는 유구전통시장 주무대에서 축제의 서막을 알리는 개막식과 함께 ‘제3회 정의송 수국가요제’가 열린다. 치열한 예선을 뚫고 올라온 본선 진출자 15명의 무대와 초청 가수의 축하 공연이 이어지며 축제 분위기를 한층 고조시킬 전망이다. 주말인 27일과 28일에는 지역 예술인들과 청년 동아리들이 참여하는 문화 공연 및 버스킹이 행사장 곳곳을 감성으로 채운다.
