브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 합동참모본부(합참)는 "우리 군은 23일 야간 중부전선에서 북한군 1명의 신병을 확보했다"고 24일 밝혔다.
합참은 이날 언론공지를 통해 "관련 세부사항에 대해서는 관계기관에서 조사 중"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
귀순 장소는 강원도 화천 일대로, 우리 군은 23일 오후 10시경 해당 북한군의 남하를 식별했으며 우리 군에 발견된 후에는 귀순 의사를 표명한 것으로 알려졌다.
한편, 북한군이 군사분계선(MDL)을 통해 귀순한 것은 지난해 10월 이후 8개월 만이며 이재명 정부 들어서는 이번이 네번째다.
