대전문화재단의 ‘차세대 artiStar 지원’ 사업에 선정된 안무가 김민혁의 신작 창작 무용 가 오는 7월 5일 오후 7시 30분 대전예술가의집 누리홀에서 관객들을 만난다.
이번에 선보이는 는 눈에 보이는 환경오염 문제를 넘어, 우리 삶을 둘러싸고 있는 보이지 않는 시선과 평가의 구조로 사유를 확장한 작품이다. 대중이 예술가를 향해 던지는 ‘좋다, 나쁘다’라는 이분법적 평가 역시 옳고 그름을 떠나 개인이 피할 수 없는 하나의 환경이라는 관점에서 접근했으며, 이를 ‘소음(Noise)’이라는 상징적 키워드로 무대 위에 풀어낸다.
특히 이번 공연은 일본의 현대무용 장르인 ‘부토’와 전통 ‘한국무용’을 유기적으로 융합해 장르의 경계를 허무는 실험적인 무대를 선사한다. 대전문화재단 차세대 artiStar 지원 사업의 2년 차 결실인 이번 작품은, 김민혁 안무가가 1년 차 활동 당시 일본의 세계적인 부토 무용단 ‘산카이주쿠(Sankai Juku)’의 워크숍에 참여하고 창작 리서치를 진행하며 다진 학술적·예술적 연구 성과가 집약된 결과물이다.
김민혁 안무가는 “는 복잡한 사회적 화두를 예술적 몸짓으로 해석해 관객과 깊이 소통하고자 기획한 작품”이라며 “공연을 관람하는 이들이 자신을 둘러싼 환경과 삶의 태도를 깊이 있게 되돌아보는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

한편, 안무가 김민혁은 충남대학교 무용학과를 졸업한 뒤 동 대학원 석사 과정을 밟고 있는 지역의 유망한 청년 예술가다. 현재 예술단체 DMR의 대표와 대한무용협회 대전광역시지회 이사직을 맡고 있으며, 제32회 대전무용제 대상, 제34회 전국무용제 특별상, 2025년 대전 예술인 공로상(대전광역시장상) 등을 잇달아 수상하며 지역 무용계에서 독창적인 작품성을 인정받고 있다.ㅍ
