이재명 대통령이 8일(현지시간) 튀르키예 앙카라 나토(NATO·북대서양조약기구) 정상회의 계기로 요나스 가르 스퇴레 노르웨이 총리와 만나 방산·미래 신산업 분야 협력을 논의했다고 청와대가 전했다.
강유정 수석대변인은 이날 회담 결과 관련 서면 브리핑에서 "이 대통령은 신재생에너지·조선·해양·방산 등 분야 실질 협력을 더욱 확대해 나가길 기대한다고 밝혔다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "이 대통령은 노르웨이가 그간 K9 자주포·천무 다연장로켓 등 한국 무기체계에 지속 신뢰를 보여준 것을 바탕으로 첨단 방산기술·국방산업 분야 협력이 더욱 강화되길 바란다고 말했다"고 전했다.
또 "이 대통령은 현재 노르웨이를 방문 중인 한국 수산 대표단이 노르웨이산 고등어 수입 물량을 추가 확보할 수 있도록 노르웨이 정부 관심·협조를 당부했다"고 전했다.
이어 "이 대통령은 북한 핵·미사일 대응 포함 한국 정부 대북정책을 설명했고 스퇴레 총리는 공감을 표했다"며 "양 정상은 우크라이나를 비롯 주요 국제정세 의견을 교환하며 국제사회 평화·안정을 위해 소통을 이어가는 데 뜻을 함께 했고, 편리한 시기 상호 방문을 추진하면서 소통을 지속해나가기로 했다"고 덧붙였다.
