(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천문화재단이 13일, 한국지역문화재단총연합회가 개최한 ‘2026 지역상생·문화동행 페스타’ 지역문화 우수사례 공모에서 시민문화활동 지원사업 ‘시민X’로 한국문화예술위원장상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
인천문화재단에 따르면, 이번 공모는 전국 지역문화재단의 우수 사업 사례를 공유하고 지역문화 성과를 확산하기 위해 마련됐으며 재단은 문화예술 기획 및 매개의 주체로서 지역문화재단의 역할을 보여주는 사례로 시민문화활동 지원사업 ‘시민X’를 공유하여 지역의제 기반 시민참여형 문화기획의 성과를 보여주는 우수사례로 평가받았다.
인천문화재단 지역문화팀이 운영하는 ‘시민X’는 인천의 지역의제를 지역 문화기획자와 시민이 함께 문화프로젝트로 구현하는 시민 주도형 문화기획 사업이다.
‘X(곱하기)’는 시민과 지역이 만나는 다양한 연결 지점을 의미하며, 시민X공동체, 시민X생태계, 시민X다문화 등 인천 곳곳의 지역성과 시민 경험을 문화예술활동으로 확장해 왔다.
재단은 ‘시민X’ 사업에서 공모 기획과 함께 지역 문화기획자의 기획·실행 역량을 높이는 성장지원 프로그램을 운영해 왔다.
공모·선정, 시작워크숍, 전문가 컨설팅, 현장 모니터링, 홍보지원, 상호참관, 결과공유회 등의 프로그램으로 지역 문화기획자와 시민이 지역의제를 함께 발견하고 표현할 수 있도록 지원했다.
2025년에는 12개 프로젝트를 지원했으며, 2026년에는 15개 프로젝트로 지원 규모를 확대해 운영하고 있다.
