춘천시는 시민과 관광객을 위한 대표 피서 축제인 ‘2026 춘천 썸머워터 페스티벌’을 오는 17일부터 8월 17일까지 한 달간 춘천수변공원(삼천동 일대)에서 운영한다고 16일 밝혔다.

축제장 운영 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지이며, 매주 목요일부터 일요일까지 주 4일 문을 연다. 단, 학생들의 여름방학과 직장인들의 본격적인 휴가철이 겹치는 피크 기간(7월 27일~8월 2일)에는 매일 개장해 방문객들의 이용 편의를 극대화할 예정이다.
특히 올해는 행사장을 기존 송암스포츠타운에서 춘천수변공원으로 전격 이전하며 규모를 대폭 키웠다. 대형·중형·유아용 워터슬라이드는 물론, 메인풀, 유수풀, 유아풀, 챌린지 바운스 등 어린아이부터 청소년, 성인까지 전 연령대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 물놀이 시설을 완비했다.
