브레이크뉴스 이제항 선임기자 = 최수진 국민의힘 의원(서울 중구·성동구을 당협위원장)이 주최하고 사단법인 맨발의 사나이가 주관한 '국민은 고통받고 있다-국민을 위한 결단' 행사가 23일 오후 국회 본관 앞 잔디광장에서 열렸다.
이번 행사는 민생 현장의 목소리를 국민이 직접 전달하고 정치권에 정책적 대응을 촉구하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에는 국민의힘 장동혁 당대표와 정점식 원내대표를 비롯해 강선영·김기현·김미애·김선교·김장겸·김태규·박준태·서지영·유상범·윤용근·이상휘·이인선·이종배·임종득·정희용·조배숙·조승환·최은석 의원 등 20여 명의 국회의원과 국민대표 30여 명, 시민들이 참석했다.
최수진 의원은 개회사에서 국민의 생활 여건과 관련한 우려를 언급하며 ▲보완수사권 폐지 중단 ▲중앙선거관리위원회 개혁 및 관련 의혹 수사 ▲경제 정책 기조 전환 등을 주요 과제로 제시했다.
최 의원은 "보완수사권 폐지는 재검토가 필요하다"며 "선거에 대한 국민 신뢰를 회복하기 위한 제도 개선이 이뤄져야 한다"고 말했다.
행사에서는 다양한 퍼포먼스도 진행됐다.
사단법인 맨발의 사나이 조승환 대표는 얼음 위에서 맨발로 2시간 43분을 버티는 퍼포먼스를 선보였다. 주최 측은 2시간 43분이 전국 243개 지방자치단체를 상징하며 국민의 어려움을 표현한 것이라고 설명했다.
김경호 화백은 '통합과 희망의 정치'를 주제로 현장에서 '국민 만다린' 스케치 퍼포먼스를 진행했다.
이어진 '국민의 목소리를 듣는 시간'에서는 국민대표 30여 명이 릴레이 발언을 통해 선거관리위원회 운영 문제, 보완수사권 폐지, 경제 정책 등 다양한 현안에 대한 의견을 밝혔다.
행사는 조정혜 대표의 애국무 공연으로 마무리됐다.
