The Blue House announced on the 25th, "The 'San Francisco AI Summit,' attended by Korean and U.S. AI companies, served as an opportunity to significantly strengthen cooperation among the government, domestic and global big tech firms to reinforce AI supply chains and create new markets."

Chief of Policy Kim Yong-bum stated this during a briefing at the San Francisco Press Center that afternoon, adding, "Taking advantage of the 'San Francisco AI Summit,' domestic and global big tech companies have decided to pursue semiconductor cooperation worth a total of $950 billion (approximately 1,375 trillion KRW)."

First, a memorandum of understanding for foundry cooperation was signed between Samsung Electronics and Broadcom for the supply of advanced memory semiconductors and the production of AI chips, worth $200 billion (approximately 290 trillion KRW) over the next five years. In addition, SK has agreed to engage in long-term supply cooperation for advanced memory semiconductors worth $750 billion (approximately 1,085 trillion won) over the next five years with global big tech companies such as Nvidia; when combined with the cooperation between Samsung Electronics and SK, the total reaches $950 billion.

In the AI data center sector, domestic and global big tech companies have agreed to cooperate on an investment in AI data centers capable of supplying approximately 2 million GPUs with a capacity of about 5 GW.

The Ministry of Science and ICT signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the joint construction and demonstration of AI computing infrastructure linking domestically produced AI semiconductor NPUs, AMD CPUs, and GPUs.

SKT and Nvidia agreed on Nvidia support for the construction and expansion of AI data centers up to 2 GW and the priority allocation of the latest Vera Rubin GPU systems. At the same time, they decided to pursue investment and cooperation with Antropic on domestic GW-scale AI data center projects. Naver has decided to build a large-scale global AI factory worth a total of $10 billion by signing a strategic investment agreement with Nvidia and simultaneously entering into an infrastructure supply contract with the global investment firm Brookfield.

Hyundai Motor Group and Nvidia have agreed to jointly establish a standardized "Robot Reference Platform" capable of developing and verifying AI robots, while also planning to support various robot developments by universities and startups. Hyundai Motor Group and Waymo announced plans for an autonomous vehicle foundry.

A strategic partnership agreement was also signed between Samsung SDS and Antropic to jointly explore new AI markets and train AI engineers.
