이재명 대통령이 26일(현지시간) "확실한 유가 불안 해소 시점까지 석유 최고 가격제를 지속하며 유류세 인하 같은 정책 수단도 최대 유지해 주기 바란다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 브라질 브라질리아 한 호텔에서 열린 화상 제41차 수석보좌관회의 모두 발언에서 "중동 상황이 다시 불안정해지며 국제 유가가 술렁이고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "당분간 유가 변동성이 이어질 가능성이 커 국내 물가에 미칠 영향 최소화를 위한 선제 노력을 빠르게 해야 한다"며 "상황이 악화되면 민생 어려움 완화를 위한 추가 방안도 적극 검토해야 한다"고 했다.
이어 "화물차·건설기계 운전자·농어민·이동노동자들처럼 경유 의존도 높은 계층 부담을 덜기 위한 대책도 지속 추진해야 한다"며 "모두 힘든 시기를 악용해 불법 돈벌이에 나서는 행태 역시 확실히 단죄해야 한다"고 했다.
또 "이번 중동전쟁을 틈타 국내 정유사들이 수십조 원 규모 담합 행위를 했던 게 수사 결과 드러났다"며 "기름·다른 핵심 민생품목들도 매점·매석·담합 행위 사례가 발생 않도록 관계 당국이 시장교란 행위 단속에 만전을 기해 주기 바란다"고 했다.
더불어 미 '샌프란시스코 AI(인공지능) 서밋' 관련해선 "초대규모 공급·투자 협력 등을 통해 글로벌 빅테크와의 파트너십을 AI 동맹 수준으로 격상했다"며 "후속 조치에 만전을 기해주기 바란다"고 덧붙였다.
