18일 가평군에 따르면, 설악청소년문화의집은 최근 서울시립동물복지지원센터에서 청소년 동물복지 체험 프로그램인 ‘2026 우리 모두 함께하개: 너와 내가 발맞춰 걷는 법’을 성황리에 마무리했다.

이번 프로그램은 청소년들의 연령에 맞춘 맞춤형 체험으로 진행됐다. 중·고등학생 참가자들은 수의사와 동물보건사 등 동물복지 분야의 다양한 직업군을 직접 체험하며 진로를 탐색하는 시간을 가졌다. 또한 초등학생들은 반려견의 행동 언어와 펫티켓 등 필수 이론 교육을 이수한 뒤, 실제 유기견들과 눈을 맞추고 교감하는 생생한 실습에 참여했다.
특히 단순한 교육을 넘어 유기견과 직접 소통하며 생명의 소중함과 반려인으로서의 책임감을 체득할 수 있도록 구성돼 참가 청소년들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다.
설악청소년문화의집 관계자는 “우리 청소년들이 동물과의 건강한 상생을 직접 배우고, 생명 존중의 소중한 가치를 마음에 깊이 새기길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 청소년들의 전인적 성장에 실질적인 도움이 되는 다채로운 활동을 꾸준히 이어나가겠다”고 전했다.
