[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사가 거제 수해복구 현장을 찾아 주민·자원봉사자들과 함께 직접 복구작업에 참여하며 신속한 일상 회복을 당부했다.
박 지사는 19일 거제시 연초면 죽전마을 침수 피해 현장을 찾아 침수된 가재도구와 물품을 옮기고 흙탕물에 젖은 물건을 세척하는 등 복구작업에 힘을 보탰다.
현장에는 새마을회 100여 명과 농협 조합원 100명, 거제시 자원봉사단체협의회 300명 등이 참여했다. 장목면 수해복구 현장에는 경남도청 공무원 60명이 투입돼 토사와 잔해 제거 등 복구작업을 진행했다.
박 지사는 “피해 범위가 워낙 넓어 복구의 손길이 미치지 못한 곳도 여전히 많다”며 “공무원과 군·경찰·소방, 자원봉사단체 등 가용 인력과 장비를 현장에 집중해 복구를 최대한 앞당기겠다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “피해 이웃들이 하루빨리 다시 일어설 수 있도록 도민 여러분께서도 자원봉사에 적극적으로 힘을 보태주시길 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
경남도는 산사태와 침수 피해가 집중된 지역을 중심으로 인력과 장비 수요를 실시간으로 파악해 우선 배치하고, 굴삭기 등 중장비가 필요한 현장에도 신속히 투입할 계획이다.
박 지사는 죽전마을 복구현장에서 작업을 마친 뒤 연초농협을 찾아 자원봉사자들을 격려하고 장목면 피해현장으로 이동해 복구 상황을 점검했다.
앞서 박 지사는 18일 거제·통영 피해현장과 이재민 대피시설을 점검했으며, 행정안전부 장관에게 통영·거제의 특별재난지역 조속한 선포와 피해시설 응급복구를 위한 특별교부세 추가 지원을 건의했다.
