브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 이란과의 협상 진전에 따라 군사 작전 일부를 일시 중단하기로 했다.
트럼프 대통령은 5일(현지 시간) 자신의 소셜미디어 트루스소셜을 통해 "이란과의 합의가 상당한 진전을 보였다"고 밝히며, 이른바 '프로젝트 프리덤(해방 작전)'을 잠정 중단하기로 상호 합의했다고 전했다.

한편, 미군은 최근 이란 혁명수비대(IRGC) 소속 고속정 6척을 격침시켰다. 아파치 헬기, 해상 헬기 등이 직접 타격을 수행했다. 해당 고속정들은 상선, 미 군함을 위협하던 소형 공격정으로 알려져 있다.
