영덕군은 오는 18일부터 ‘2026년 전기자동차 보급사업’ 추가 접수를 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번에 추가 배정된 물량은 전기 승용차 100대와 전기 화물차 60대 등 총 160대 규모다. 이와 함께 올해 상반기부터 접수를 진행해 온 전기 승합차와 전기 이륜차는 예산이 소진될 때까지 계속 신청할 수 있다.
군은 다양한 계층의 친환경차 구매 부담을 줄이기 위해 추가 지원 혜택도 마련했다. 19세 이상 34세 이하 청년이 생애 최초로 차량을 구매할 경우 기본 보조금의 20%를 추가 지원하며, 다자녀 가구에는 자녀 수에 따라 최소 100만 원에서 최대 300만 원까지 차등 지급한다.
또한 소상공인과 차상위계층 이하 대상자가 전기 화물차를 구매할 경우 보조금의 30%를 추가 지원하고, 농업인에게는 전기 화물차 보조금의 10%를 추가로 지급한다.
올해는 노후 내연기관 차량을 전기차로 교체하는 군민을 위한 지원도 강화됐다. 등록 후 3년 이상 된 내연기관 차량(하이브리드 차량 제외)을 매각하거나 폐차한 뒤 전기차를 구매하는 개인에게는 별도의 전환 지원금이 추가로 제공된다.
지원 대상은 신청일 기준 90일 이상 영덕군에 주소를 두고 있는 18세 이상 운전면허 소지자와 지역 내 법인·단체다. 보조금은 예산 범위 내에서 차량 출고 및 등록 순으로 지급된다.
신청자는 자동차 제작사 또는 수입사와 구매계약을 체결한 뒤 환경부 무공해차 구매보조금 지원시스템을 통해 온라인으로 접수하면 된다.
영덕군 관계자는 “전기차 보급 확대를 통해 탄소중립 실현과 대기환경 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”며 “군민들이 다양한 지원 혜택을 활용해 친환경 차량 전환에 적극 참여해 주길 바란다”고 말했다.

Eligible recipients include licensed drivers aged 18 or older who have resided in Yeongdeok-gun for at least 90 days as of the application date, as well as local corporations and organizations. Subsidies will be distributed within the budget limits in the order of vehicle delivery and registration.
Applicants must sign a purchase contract with an automobile manufacturer or importer and then apply online through the Ministry of Environment's Zero-Emission Vehicle Purchase Subsidy Support System.
An official from Yeongdeok County stated, “We expect that expanding the supply of electric vehicles will contribute to achieving carbon neutrality and improving the air quality,” adding, “We hope that residents will actively participate in the transition to eco-friendly vehicles by utilizing the various support benefits.”
