<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 횡성군 내 영유아들의 건강한 성장과 장애 친화적인 통합보육 환경을 조성하기 위해 지역 복지 기관과 보육 기관이 손을 맞잡았다.
횡성군장애인종합복지관은 지난 16일 횡성군어린이집연합회와 '영유아기 아동 장애 인식 개선 및 통합보육 환경 조성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)'을 체결했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 관내 영유아들에게 눈높이에 맞춘 체험형 견학을 제공해 장애에 대한 편견을 허물고 친밀감을 형성하는 데 주력한다. 또한, 현장 보육교사들의 통합보육 역량을 높이기 위한 전문 교육도 함께 지원할 계획이다.
특히 영유아기 성장의 핵심인 '발달지연 및 장애 의심 아동'을 조기에 발견하기 위한 촘촘한 협력 체계를 구축하고, 조기 개입이 필요한 아동은 전문 서비스로 적극 연계하기로 뜻을 모았다.
박성길 횡성군장애인종합복지관장은 “아이들의 첫 사회생활 공간인 어린이집과 협력해 장애 친화적인 지역사회의 밑거름을 다지게 되어 기쁘다”며, “복지관의 문턱을 낮추고 발달지연 아동을 조기에 발견해 우리 지역 아동들이 건강하게 자랄 수 있는 튼튼한 안전망 역할을 하겠다”고 전했다.
