고양특례시가 국토교통부 국토지리정보원이 주관하는 ‘2027년도 고정밀 전자지도 구축 공모사업’에 최종 선정되며 미래 첨단도시 구현에 한 걸음 더 다가섰다.
고양시는 이번 공모사업 선정으로 국비 2억5,000만 원을 확보했다고 17일 밝혔다.
‘고정밀 전자지도 구축 사업’은 디지털트윈 기술을 기반으로 트램, 도심항공교통(UAM), 미래 모빌리티 등 차세대 도시 인프라 구축에 필요한 고정밀 공간정보를 제작·활용하는 국가 공모사업이다.
이를 통해 스마트시티 기반을 강화하고 도시 운영의 효율성을 높이는 것이 주요 목적이다.
고양시는 그동안 1대 1,000 수치지형도를 비롯해 드론 영상, 라이다(LiDAR), 수치표고모델(DEM), 3차원(3D) 건물 데이터 등 다양한 고정밀 공간정보를 체계적으로 구축해 왔다.
또한 이를 행정서비스와 연계한 비즈니스 모델을 발굴하며 첨단 미래산업과 문화산업을 선도하는 지자체로 평가받아 왔다.
특히 시는 공간정보를 활용한 행정 혁신과 디지털 기반 도시 운영 역량을 인정받으며 이번 공모사업 선정의 성과를 거뒀다.
이번에 선정된 2027년도 사업은 기존에 구축된 방대한 공간정보 데이터를 기반으로 최신 도시 변화를 신속하게 반영하는 데 중점을 둔다.
이를 통해 공간정보의 품질을 더욱 높이고 지속적인 갱신 체계를 구축해 스마트시티 인프라를 강화할 계획이다.
아울러 도시계획, 교통관리, 재난 대응 등 시민 생활과 밀접한 행정 분야에서 보다 정확하고 신속한 의사결정을 지원함으로써 행정 효율성과 시민 안전을 동시에 향상시킬 것으로 기대된다.
