【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구체육고등학교(이하 대구체고) 2학년 김민서 선수(양궁부)가 국제대회에서 금메달 2개와 은메달 1개를 따내며 한국 양궁의 새 얼굴로 떠올랐다.
대구체고에 따르면, 김민서 선수는 지난 1일부터 6일까지 루세에서 열린 ‘2026 유러피안 유스컵’에 대한민국 국가대표로 출전해 단체전과 혼성단체전에서 나란히 금메달을, 개인전에서 은메달을 목에 걸었다.
‘유러피안 유스컵’은 전 세계 유망 청소년 양궁 선수들이 참가하는 국제 대회로, 차세대 스타들의 등용문으로 꼽힌다.
김민서 선수는 대회 내내 뛰어난 집중력과 안정적인 경기 운영을 선보이며 단체전과 혼성단체전에서 연이어 정상에 오르는 쾌거를 이뤘다. 개인전에서도 차분하게 실력을 펼치며 은메달을 보탰다. 이로써 국제 무대에서의 경쟁력도 입증했다.
원길재 대구체고 감독은 “김민서 선수가 국가대표로서 책임감과 집중력으로 경기에 임해 좋은 결실을 맺었다”며 “앞으로도 국제무대에서 대한민국 양궁을 대표하는 선수로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
이영길 교장 역시 “국제대회에서 뛰어난 성적을 거둔 김민서 선수가 자랑스럽다”면서 “학생선수들이 학업과 운동을 병행하며 세계적인 선수로 성장하도록 학교 차원에서 적극 돕겠다”고 밝혔다.
