경기도의회 미래과학협력위원회 김철현 의원(국민의힘, 안양2)이 지난 6월 15일 열린 제391회 정례회 2025회계연도 결산심사에서 경기도 4차산업혁명센터 운영 현황을 점검하며 세계경제포럼(WEF)과의 협력사업에 대한 성과관리 강화와 객관적 평가체계 마련을 촉구했다.
김 의원은 이날 “2025년 경기도 4차산업혁명센터 운영예산 25억 원 가운데 세계경제포럼 연회비가 약 60%를 차지하는 만큼 예산 투입에 상응하는 실질적 성과가 확인돼야 한다”고 지적했다.
이어 “세계경제포럼과의 협력은 글로벌 네트워크 구축과 국제협력 측면에서 의미가 있지만, 중요한 것은 도내 기업들이 실제 어떤 혜택을 받고 있는지 확인하는 것”이라며 “투자유치, 해외시장 진출 지원, 글로벌 협력사업 발굴 등 객관적으로 검증 가능한 성과가 필요하다”고 강조했다.
또 “현재 협약이 2027년 8월까지 체결돼 있고 자동 연장되는 구조인 만큼 향후 연장 여부는 기업의 해외 진출 성과와 투자유치 실적, 예산 투입 효과 등을 종합적으로 평가해 결정해야 한다”며 성과 중심의 협력사업 운영을 주문했다.
김철현 의원은 “세계경제포럼과의 협력이 경기도 기업의 경쟁력 강화와 글로벌 시장 진출에 실질적으로 기여할 수 있도록 성과관리 체계를 더욱 강화해야 한다”며 “도민이 납득할 수 있는 성과를 바탕으로 사업이 추진돼야 한다”고 말했다.
