대전광역시 중구의회가 제10대 전반기 원구성을 전격 마무리하고 구민들을 위한 본격적인 의정 활동의 닻을 올렸다. 중구의회는 지난 7월 8일부터 10일까지 사흘간 진행된 제273회 임시회에서 총 세 차례의 본회의를 열어 의장단과 상임위원장을 선출하고 특별위원회 구성을 모두 완료했다.
회기 첫날인 8일 열린 제1차 본회의에서는 전반기 의장에 윤원옥 의원, 부의장에 김선옥 의원이 각각 선출됐다. 특히 이번 윤원옥 의장의 당선은 중구의회 개원 이래 최초의 여성 의장 선출이라는 점에서 지역 정가의 큰 이목을 집중시켰다.
의장단 선출을 마친 중구의회는 같은 날 오후 2시 개원식을 거행하며 23만 중구민의 복리 증진과 성실한 직무 수행, 책임 있는 의정활동을 펼칠 것을 공식 다짐했다.

이어 회기 마지막 날인 10일 제3차 본회의에서는 의회운영위원회 위원장을 선출하고, 예산결산특별위원회와 윤리특별위원회의 위원 배정까지 최종 확정 지으며 전반기 전열을 정비했다. 아직 선출되지 않은 예산결산특별위원회 위원장과 윤리특별위원회 위원장은 향후 각 위원회 내부 호선을 통해 선출될 계획이다.
제10대 중구의회 전반기를 이끌어갈 위원회별 상세 구성 현황도 확정됐다.
의회운영위원회는 이정수 위원장을 필두로 김선옥, 정종훈, 이상인 의원 등 4명으로 꾸려졌으며, 행정자치위원회는 정종훈 위원장과 김석환, 정주용, 김선옥 의원 등 4명이 활동하게 된다.
사회도시위원회는 이상인 위원장을 비롯해 유은희, 이정수, 이진웅, 강순복 의원 등 5명으로 구성됐다.
아울러 대안 제시와 심의를 담당할 예산결산특별위원회에는 김석환, 정주용, 김선옥, 이정수, 이상인, 이진웅, 강순복 의원 등 7명이 선임됐으며, 윤리특별위원회에는 김석환, 유은희, 정주용, 이정수, 이상인, 이진웅, 정종훈 의원 등 7명이 위원으로 이름을 올렸다.
