경남도, 전국 지방자치단체 일자리대상 ‘광역 대상’ 수상

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 고용노동부 주관 ‘2026년 전국 지방자치단체 일자리대상’에서 광역단체 대상을 수상하며 3년 연속 전국 최상위권에 올랐다.

경남도는 지역일자리 목표 공시제 부문에서 국무총리상을 받았다. 2024년 대통령상, 2025년 최우수상에 이어 올해까지 3년 연속 수상이다.

전국 지방자치단체 일자리대상은 전국 광역·기초지자체의 일자리 정책 계획과 집행, 성과 및 지역 특화사업 등을 종합 평가하는 정부 포상이다. 올해 평가는 2025년 일자리 추진실적을 대상으로 이뤄졌다.

경남도는 2025년 15~64세 고용률이 69.9%로 역대 최고 수준을 기록했고, 직전 3년 평균 대비 고용률 증가율은 2.4%로 광역지자체 가운데 가장 높았다. 청년고용률과 청년 인구 유출 관련 지표도 개선된 것으로 평가됐다.

특히 산업전환 대응과 지역인재 양성, 기업 채용, 장기근속 및 지역 정착을 연계한 일자리 정책이 높은 평가를 받았다. 수상에 따른 포상금 1억3000만원은 2027년 지역 고용 현안 대응과 신규 일자리 사업에 활용된다.

우수사업 부문에서도 ‘경남형 원청-협력사 상생 일자리사업’이 고용노동부 장관상인 우수상을 받았다. 조선·자동차·항공산업의 원·하청 임금 격차를 완화하고 고용 유지와 신규 인력 유입, 장기근속을 유도한 점이 평가됐다.

김인수 경남도 경제통상국장은 “이번 수상은 기업과 근로자, 대학·훈련기관, 시군과 관계기관이 함께 만들어낸 성과”라며 “도민이 체감할 수 있는 양질의 일자리를 지속적으로 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongsangnam-do received the Prime Minister’s Award in the category of the Regional Job Target Disclosure System. This marks three consecutive years of awards, following the Presidential Award in 2024 and the Top Excellence Award in 2025.

The National Local Government Job Awards is a government award that comprehensively evaluates the job policy planning, execution, performance, and region-specific projects of metropolitan and local governments across the country. This year’s evaluation was based on job implementation performance in 2025.

Gyeongnam Province recorded an all-time high employment rate of 69.9% for the 15–64 age group in 2025, and its employment growth rate compared to the average of the previous three years stood at 2.4%, the highest among metropolitan and provincial governments. Indicators regarding youth employment rates and the outflow of the youth population were also assessed as having improved.

In particular, employment policies linking responses to industrial transition, the cultivation of local talent, corporate recruitment, long-term employment, and regional settlement received high praise.
