전북 순창군이 국토교통부가 주관한 '2025년 지역개발 우수사례 경진대회'에서 최우수상(국토부장관)을 거머쥐었다.
이번 시상식은 지난 17일 대전 토지주택연구원에서 개최됐으며 경진대회는 2015년부터 전국 지자체를 대상으로 지역개발사업의 우수성과 창의성을 공유하고 상호 벤치마킹을 위해 선정하고 있다.
서면 심사를 거쳐 총 13개 팀이 선정돼 4개 지자체(최우수 1건ㆍ우수사례 3건)가 본선에 최종 진출했다.

본선에서 발표된 '한국 전통 발효문화산업 투자 선도지구 조성'은 전통 장류와 발효 문화를 단순한 1차 산업에 머무르지 않고 '산업ㆍ연구ㆍ관광ㆍ체험'이 융합된 고부가가치 지역발전 모델로 확장한 국내 유일한 사례로 높은 평가를 받았다.
