메마른 아프리카 탄자니아의 물길을 새롭게 열기 위해 현지 수자원 정책의 수뇌부들이 대전의 기술력을 수혈하러 나섰다.
대전시와 대전테크노파크가 마련한 이번 초청 연수는 4일부터 11일까지 5박 8일간의 일정으로 진행된다. 탄자니아 수자원부와 농촌상수도위생청의 고위급 결정권자 7명은 대한민국 과학수도의 저력을 직접 확인하며 현지 수자원 관리 체계의 현대화를 꾀한다.
연수의 핵심은 단순한 견학을 넘어 탄자니아 현지에 즉각 이식 가능한 실전 노하우를 습득하는 데 있다. 방문단은 대전하수처리장을 찾아 중앙집중식 하수처리 공정과 유지관리(O&M) 비결을 꼼꼼히 살폈다.
이어 한국수자원공사(K-water)를 방문해 사물인터넷(IoT) 기술이 접목된 실시간 수질 모니터링 시스템과 스마트 의사결정 지원 체계를 직접 확인했다.
지역 기업들의 아프리카 시장 진출을 위한 세일즈 외교도 활발히 펼쳐졌다. 방문단은 관내 유망 기업인 (주)삼진이앤아이와 (주)부강테크를 차례로 방문해 한국 기업 특유의 기술력을 현장에서 검증했다.
한남대학교에서 열린 정책 워크숍에서는 탄자니아 사정에 최적화된 분산형 하수처리 시스템(DEWATS) 기반 순환경제 모델을 놓고 양국 전문가들이 머리를 맞대며 심도 있는 논의를 이어갔다.
