한국도로교통공단과 부산창조경제혁신센터가 지역 창업 기업의 국외 시장 진출을 위해 머리를 맞댔다.
두 기관은 지난 7일 업무협약을 맺고 교통안전 분야의 유망 기업을 발굴해 성장 기반을 마련하기로 뜻을 모았다.
이번 협력은 단순한 지원을 넘어 공공기관의 국외 네트워크를 민간 기업의 혁신 동력으로 치환하는 데 목적을 둔다.
공단은 몽골과 콜롬비아에서 수행 중인 공적개발원조(ODA) 사업을 지렛대 삼아 부산 지역 기업들에 수출 활로를 열어줄 계획이다.
공단이 확보한 글로벌 네트워크는 외국 정부 정책 결정자와 국내 기업 간의 직접적인 교류를 가능하게 만든다.
국외 현지에서의 기술 실증과 판로 개척은 자금력이 부족한 창업 기업들에 거절하기 힘든 기회로 작용할 전망이다.
부산창조경제혁신센터는 그동안 쌓아온 개방형 혁신 역량을 바탕으로 기업의 내실을 다지는 역할을 맡는다.
선정된 기업에 1천만 원의 사업화 자금을 지원하는 것은 물론 현지 실증에 필요한 전반적인 행정 절차를 촘촘히 지원하기로 했다.
실무자들의 역량을 강화하는 맞춤형 교육 프로그램도 병행해 기업의 자생력을 높인다.
지난해 강원특별자치도에 이어 부산까지 지원 범위를 넓힌 공단의 행보는 지역 균형 발전과 민간 기술의 세계화를 동시에 정조준한다.
공단은 ‘교통안전 분야 해외진출 지원센터’를 통해 외국 정부와의 면담을 주선하는 등 국내 기업이 세계 시장의 주역으로 우뚝 서도록 뒷받침할 방침이다.
