충남도가 장마 및 태풍에 대한 선제적 방어선을 구축하고 나섰다.
도는 11일 천안시 일대에서 여름철 자연재난에 대비한 현장 점검을 실시하고, 인명피해 제로화를 위한 대응 체계를 꼼꼼히 살폈다.
홍종완 행정부지사를 필두로, 도와 천안시 재난 담당 공무원들이 합동으로 진행한 점검의 첫 번째 장소는 천안시 서북구 와촌동 ‘천안천 풍수해 생활권 종합정비사업장’이다.
총 410억 원이라는 막대한 예산이 투입된 이 사업은, 배수펌프장 확충과 우수관로 정비를 골자로 하고 있다.
완공 되면 2,100여 명에 달하는 인근 주민들의 생명을 보호하고 상습적으로 발생하는 침수 피해를 근본적으로 해결할 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
점검반은 우기 전 주요 공정에 대한 진행 상황을 점검하며 시설의 실제 가동 효율성을 집중 분석했다.
