대전광역시자원봉사센터는 대한민국 임시정부 수립 기념일인 11일을 맞아 순국선열의 헌신을 기리는 보훈 테마 가족봉사활동 ‘현충원 가봄봄봄♪’을 추진했다.
자라나는 아이들에게 역사의 무게를 일깨우고 세대 간 공감을 넓히기 위한 취지다.
이번 봉사활동은 대전광역시자원봉사센터 주관 아래 (사)호국보훈기념사업회, 대전봉사체험교실, 서구문화원 열린오케스트라의 긴밀한 협력으로 진행됐다.
주말을 반납하고 현장을 찾은 120여 명의 가족 봉사자들은 현충탑 참배와 헌화를 시작으로 호국영령의 희생을 기리는 묵념의 시간을 가졌다.
단순히 묘역을 정화하는 차원을 넘어, 버스투어를 통해 주요 묘역을 이동하며 독립운동가와 애국지사들의 생애를 깊이 있게 배우는 교육적 기회도 병행했다.
