청양군은 전국 최고의 고추 산지라는 명성을 수호하기 위해 정성껏 길러낸 우량 고추 모종을 이번 주부터 관내 농가에 본격적으로 보급한다고 13일 밝혔다.
기상 여건 호조로 그 어느 해보다 모종의 상태가 훌륭해, 농민들의 기대감도 동반 상승하고 있다.
올해 보급되는 위탁 육묘 물량은 총 190만 주에 달한다. 군은 농가별 재배 방식에 맞춰 공급 시기를 이원화하는 세심함을 보였다.
기온 변화에 민감한 작물 특성을 고려해 시설 하우스 재배 농가는 이번 주부터 즉시 공급을 시작하고, 저온 피해 위험이 있는 노지 재배 농가는 안정적인 기온이 확보되는 4월 말부터 순차적으로 배부할 계획이다.
