청년들이 단순히 머무는 곳을 넘어, 꿈을 설계하고 삶의 뿌리를 내릴 수 있는 ‘청년 자립 도시’의 이정표가 제시됐다.
주정봉 대전 서구청장 예비후보는 13일, '서구를 바꾸는 100가지 약속' 그 여섯 번째 기획으로 ‘꿈꾸는 청년 도시’ 정책을 전격 공개했다.
이번 공약은 소득 지원부터 일자리 확충, 주거 안정을 아우르는 ‘패키지형 정착 지원’에 방점이 찍혀 있다.
주 예비후보가 내세운 정책의 핵심은 청년의 기본권을 보장하는 ‘기본형 청년수당’ 도입이다.
서구에 거주하는 24세 청년을 대상으로 구직 여부와 관계없이 연간 최대 100만 원(분기별 25만 원)을 지역화폐로 지급한다는 구상이다.
이를 통해 청년들의 사회 진입을 응원하고 지역 경제 활성화라는 선순환 구조를 만들겠다는 복안이다.
