대전광역시교육청이 과학의 달을 맞아 미래의 과학도를 꿈꾸는 학생과 시민들을 위한 과학 축제의 장을 마련한다.
이를 위해 대전시교육청은 4월 17일부터 이틀간 대전교육과학연구원 일원에서 ‘2026 꿈돌이사이언스페스티벌’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
꿈돌이사이언스페스티벌은 대전 지역 유치원생부터 초·중·고등학생, 학부모, 교직원이 모두 어우러지는 대전의 대표적인 과학 문화 행사다. 매년 학생들의 과학적 탐구 능력과 창의적인 문제 해결력을 기르기 위한 목적으로 운영되고 있다.
이번 축제는 학생들이 일상 속에서 과학적 호기심을 발견하고 스스로 탐구하는 역량을 강화하는 데 중점을 두었다. 특히 가족이 함께 참여할 수 있는 체험 중심의 프로그램을 대폭 강화하여, 과학을 매개로 가족 간 소통과 유대감을 쌓을 수 있도록 기획한 것이 특징이다.
행사의 핵심인 ‘주제탐구 경연마당’에는 실생활과 밀접한 과학적 주제를 바탕으로 총 40개 팀이 참여해 열띤 탐구 결과를 선보인다. 이와 함께 가족 단위 방문객을 위해 △발명캠프 △우주여행 △작은 세상 △생물 탐구 등 다채로운 과학 체험 부스가 운영되어 방문객들에게 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
또한 대전시교육청은 우천 등 기상 상황에 구애받지 않고 행사를 안전하게 즐길 수 있도록 운영 방식을 개선했다. 기존 야외 중심의 행사에서 벗어나 연구원 내 생각마루, 영재강의실, 과학실험실 등 실내 공간을 적극 활용함으로써 참가자들에게 더욱 쾌적하고 안정적인 환경을 제공할 계획이다.

In celebration of Science Month, the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education is organizing a science festival for students and citizens aspiring to become future scientists.
To this end, the Daejeon Office of Education announced that it will host the ‘2026 Kkumdori Science Festival’ for two days starting April 17 at the Daejeon Institute of Science Education.
