월성원자력본부, 동경주지역 취약계층 난방비 추가 지원

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 19일 동경주 지역의 취약계층을 위한 난방비 2천만원을 추가로 긴급 지원했다고 밝혔다.

이번 지원은 한파와 난방비 부담으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 동경주 지역의 취약계층을 위해 세대별 약 30만원 상당의 등유 또는 연탄을 66세대 각 가정에 공급할 예정이다.

또한 월성본부 각 부서에서는 한파에 대비하여 지역의 자매마을 독거노인 등 취약계층을 방문하여 안전 확인 및 돌봄 활동을 진행 중이다.

김한성 본부장은 “최근 급작스러운 추운 날씨와 급등한 난방비로 모두가 어려운 상황이지만 취약계층에겐 더욱 힘겨울 것”이라며, “이번 지원으로 지역의 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보내는데 도움이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, 월성본부는 겨울이 본격적으로 시작되는 지난 11월에 동경주지역 저소득가정 70세대에 2,100만원 상당의 난방유·연탄을 지원하였으며, 지난 2월 기록적인 한파와 난방비 급등 시에도 2천만원을 긴급 지원한 바 있다.
