브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스는 크리스마스와 연말·연시를 앞두고 이동통신 통화량 및 데이터 트래픽 급증에 대비해 네트워크 최적화, 24시간 종합상황실 운영 등 ‘연휴 특별 소통 대책’을 수립했다고 21일 밝혔다.
LG유플러스는 네트워크 특별 소통을 위한 비상운영체계에 돌입, 고객들이 데이터와 음성 등 통신 서비스를 원활하게 이용할 수 있도록 사전 준비를 마쳤다. 또한, 비상상황에 긴급 대응할 수 있는 종합상황실을 서울 마곡사옥에 열고 24시간 집중 모니터링에 돌입할 계획이다.
특히, 많은 고객이 몰릴 것으로 예측되는 번화가와 해넘이·해돋이 명소를 중심으로 네트워크 장비의 성능을 사전에 분석, 안테나 조정 작업 등을 통해 네트워크 최적화 작업을 마쳤다.
이 밖에도 대규모 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상되는 타종식 행사와 전국 해돋이 행사지역은 이동기지국 등을 지원해 네트워크 과부화 우려를 해소하고, 중요 거점지역에는 현장요원을 배치해 상시 출동할 수 있는 준비 태세도 갖췄다.
