어촌·어항재생사업 관리 평가는 어촌 소멸을 막고 어촌에 활력을 불어넣기 위한 어촌·어항재생사업의 성과 창출과 집행률 제고 등을 위해 올해부터 시행하고 있다.
전국 11개 시·도와 62개 기초 지자체를 대상으로 지난해 말 기준 실 집행률, 우수 사례, 준공현황, 사전절차 추진현황 등을 평가해 6개 지자체를 선정했다.
경주시는 어촌뉴딜 300사업 대상지 5곳 중 수렴항, 연동항, 나정항 등 3곳의 조기 준공과 척사항, 가곡항 2곳의 사업 추진율 성과를 인정받았다.
또 어촌신활력증진사업 대상지 2곳의 사전 행정절차 추진 현황에서도 높은 점수를 받았다.
수렴항의 월파방지시설(이안제) 설치 민원, 카페 및 포차마당의 소득사업 관련 주민 충돌 민원 등의 발생 시 전문가와 경주시의 적극적인 협업·소통 행정으로 인한 갈등 해결과 주민참여 유도는 관리 우수사례로 인정 받았다.
특히 어촌뉴딜 300사업 중 하나인 사전 월파방지시설 설치로 인한 2020년 태풍 마이삭, 하이선 내습 시 피해를 최소화 한 점은 모범사례로 평가됐다.
또 어촌어항재생사업과 연계한 연동마을축제(4월), 연동야장(6월), 동해안 오선지 등대음악회(6월) 등의 다양한 연계 프로그램 운영은 지역 주민들과 관광객들이 함께 어울려 경주바다를 전국에 알릴 수 있게 했다.
