경주시의회 의원연구단체 ‘출산·양육정책 연구모임’ 중간보고회 개최

김종우 의원을 대표로 하여, 임활·오상도·최재필 의원까지 총 4인으로 구성된 ‘경주시 출산·양육정책 연구모임’이 추진하고 있는 이번 연구용역은 인구정책 중 출산과 양육정책을 중점적으로 분석함으로써 의회 차원의 정책 개발을 위한 기초자료를 확보하는 것을 목적으로 두고 있다.

이날 실시된 보고회에서는 연구단체 소속 의원 및 각 상임위원회 전문위원이 참석하여, 인구감소 대응 우수사례와 저출생 극복 아이디어 공모 선정작, 외국의 출산정책 사례 등에 대한 보고를 청취하고 출산·양육정책 전반에 대한 질의응답 및 토론의 시간을 가졌다.

김종우 대표의원은 “인구감소, 특히 출산율의 감소는 경주뿐만 아니라 대한민국 전체, 나아가서는 전세계적인 문제로, 시급히 해결해야 할 가장 중요한 문제 중 하나라고 할 수 있다.”면서, “경주시 제반 상황을 면밀히 분석하여 개선책을 마련하고, 중앙정부의 정책과 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있는 유효한 정책을 개발할 수 있도록 연구에 힘써달라.”고 당부했다.
