[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해방문의 해를 맞아 대만 슬로시티 네트워크 회원도시 4개 시의 시장단이 김해시를 방문했다.

대만 슬로시티 시장단은 산이시, 난쨩시, 마쟈시의 시장과 화련시의 주민대표 그리고 난화대학 관계자 등 15명으로 구성해 김해시의 우수 정책을 벤치마킹하고 양국 도시 간 교류 활성화 방안을 논의하기 위해 18일 김해시를 찾았다.

이들은 도심 속 가야 유적지인 수로왕릉과 대성동고분군을 둘러보고 주민공동체가 운영하는 “회현연가 김해치즈스토리” 생산과정 시찰로 이어졌다.

김해의 대표 관광명소인 김해가야테마파크에서 한복체험과 가야왕궁을 관람하고 김해의 대표적인 슬로마을인 대동 수안마을을 방문해 수국정원을 감상하고 주민과의 대화시간도 가졌다.

대만시 시장단은 주민공동체가 직접 운영하고 있는 '회현연가 치즈스토리'가 지역자원을 치즈와 요거트라는 특산품으로 상품화 한 것에 각별한 관심을 보였고 대동 수안마을의 주민들이 수국정원을 직접 가꾸어 수국축제 여는 모습에도 칭찬을 아끼지 않았다.
