【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회 행정복지위원회(위원장 이경희)는 지난 7월 30일, 31일 양일간 소관 업무에 대한 현장방문을 실시했다고 1일 밝혔다.

이번 현장방문은 7월 초 제9대 경주시의회 후반기 상임위원회가 새롭게 구성됨에 따라 소관현장을 직접 확인하고 관계자들의 생생한 목소리를 들음으로써 향후 의정활동 자료로 활용하기 위해 실시됐다.
30일 보건소·경주시시설관리공단·경주하늘마루부터 31일 스마트미디어센터·청년센터·노인종합복지관까지 총 6개소를 방문하는 일정으로 진행됐다.
이번 방문에서 경주시민의 건강한 삶을 위해 다양한 의료서비스를 제공하는 보건소와 청년이 살기 좋은 환경을 만들어 나가는 청년센터 ‘청년고도’의 추진사업을 파악하는 시간을 가졌으며, 노인종합복지관 및 하늘마루의 운영현황 및 불편사항에 대해서도 살폈다.
또한 경주시시설관리공단의 시설물 관리실태와 예산현황, 사업수입에 대한 심도있는 점검을 진행하여 투명한 운영과 안전하고 쾌적한 시설물 이용환경의 조성에 힘을 보탰으며, 스마트미디어센터 방문에서는 실감미디어 산업의 발전이라는 설립 목적에 따른 관련기업 입주에 대한 설명과 함께 스마트관광도시 조성사업 및 e스포츠 대회(LCK 결승전) 개최 등 주요 추진사업에 대한 보고가 이어졌다.
이경희 행정복지위원장은 “소관 분야 전반에 걸친 현장방문을 실시함으로써 향후 2년간의 행정복지위원회 운영을 위한 밑그림을 그리고자 했다.”고 말하며, “일시적인 현장방문에 그치지 않고 기회가 되는 대로 관계자와 이용자의 말을 듣기 위해 현장 속으로 뛰어가는 적극적인 위원회를 만들어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongju City Council Administrative Welfare Committee Conducts On-Site Visits to 6 Locations, Including Health Centers

During this visit, we spent time learning about the health center, which provides various medical services for the healthy lives of Gyeongju citizens, and the ‘Youth Godo’ youth center, which creates a good environment for young people to live in, and also looked into the operational status and inconveniences of the Senior Citizens’ Welfare Center and Haneulmaru.

Lee Kyung-hee, Chairwoman of the Administrative Welfare Committee, said, “We wanted to lay the groundwork for the operation of the Administrative Welfare Committee for the next two years by conducting on-site visits across all areas under our jurisdiction.” She added, “We will create an active committee that goes into the field to listen to the opinions of stakeholders and users whenever possible, rather than just making temporary on-site visits.”
